Your Workers' Compensation Legal Team
- Thank you for choosing the Law Offices of Pomper & Dettenhaim to represent your interests concerning your workers' compensation claim. At this office, we firmly believe that a "team approach" in handling workers' compensation cases is the most effective way to serve our clients.
- Our staff members are a critical part of the success of your claim. At this time, I would like to introduce you to the members of our staff and to inform you of our office procedures regarding the handling of your claim. Our office employs a staff attorney, a paralegal and a receptionist, all of whom are carefully trained and supervised. S. Jean Dettenhaim is our staff attorney. Michelle Bell and Tanya Ward are our legal assistants.
- Although your attorney will carefully monitor your claim and supervise our staff on the handling of day to day issues, should a problem arise regarding your claim you should contact our office and speak with one of our staff members. Please understand that your attorney may not be immediately available to take your telephone call, as we make frequent court appearances and spend the majority of the day in court.
- Given the large number of cases that a workers' compensation practice must carry in order to remain in business, we request that you first speak with the staff attorney or paralegal and give them a fair chance to resolve your issue prior to requesting a conference with your attorney. If you have fully explained your problem and they are unable to assist you, they will type up a detailed note to file and schedule a telephone or office meeting with your attorney. This system allows the attorney advance notice of the problem and many times you will find the problem has been solved by your attorney prior to your conference.
- Any emergency situation, such as late payments of temporary disability (over 3 days late) or authorization for medical treatment, are considered priority. You should contact one of our staff members as soon as possible and inform him or her of the problem. Your attorney will be promptly informed of the situation.
- Our team goal is to obtain the maximum legal benefits available for our clients and to hopefully minimize the delays and frustrations inherent in the workers' compensation system. By working together as a unit, client, attorneys and staff, these goals are obtainable.
- Thank you again for providing our office with the opportunity to assist you.
